RE: PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF COUNTY PEST INSPECTORS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado statute, Section 35-4-101,
CRS 1973, as amended, no person or persons may serve as a County
Pest Inspector in the State of Colorado subsequent to April 28 ,
1978 unless that person or persons holds a valid license to do
so issued by the Board of County Commissioners of the County in
which that person serves, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, in order to comply with the above statute, does deem
it advisable to adopt this resolution providing for the proce-
dure for the appointment of the County Pest Inspector.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Personnel Depart-
ment of Weld County shall examine all applicants for vacant
positions of County Pest Inspectors and if found competent and
fully qualified to perform the duties of the office, the Board
shall issue to such applicants a license as County Pest Inspector.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no person shall act as a County
Pest Inspector unless he holds a license granted by the Board
which shall certify to the competency of the applicant and shall
authorize him to act as a County Pest Inspector for a period of
two (2) years from the date of issuance, but no person engaged
in a nursery, arboreous, or tree care business, either as owner,
agent, employee or salesman, shall be eligible for these posi-
tions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
April , A.D. , 1979.
