SUBJECT: Capital Improvement at Exhibition Building and Livestock
Building.

As you are probably aware there is always a parking problem
at the Exhibition Building during scheduled activities at this
building. I would like to see a study made of possible new parking
facilities in the area.
One suggestion would be to remove the red brick building just
north of the Alcoholic Recovery Center which I do not believe is
being utilized at the present and extend the parking lot that is
on the south side of the Exhibition Building on to the south to the
Alcohol Recovery Center. One other would be to clean off the lot
south of the Alcohol Recovery Center and gravel this for additional
parking.
I would like to suggest a leanto structure be put on the south
side of existing livestock building which could be utilized for
storage as well as housing for livestock during the fair. It would
also provide needed shade for the south side of the livestock building.
I would suggest that the extension be about 15 to 18 feet deep
and attached to the existing structure. This could be the full length
of the barn or could be put on in sections.
When the new water line is put into wash rack, I would like to
see the alley way north of the livestock building graded to slope and
oiled.
