Overland
Pass Pipeline
ONEOK
PARTNERS
Construction Complete
In early October, natural gas liquids (NGLs)
began flowing through the Overland Pass
Pipeline from Echo Springs, Wyo., to Conway,
Kan., at a rate of approximately 30,000 barrels
per day (bpd). Overland Pass is designed to
transport approximately 110,000 bpd of NGLs,
and capacity can be increased to 255,000 bpd
with additional pump facilities.
"Overland Pass Pipeline is the largest pipeline
construction project undertaken in our
company's history and it could not have been
completed without the feedback, cooperation
and support of the individuals and communities
along the route," said ONEOK Partners
executive vice president, Terry Spencer.
"ONEOK Partners is proud to be a member of
your community and looks forward to a long
and mutually beneficial relationship."
Overland Pass Pipeline will generate more than
$8.4 million in annual tax revenue for
communities along the route.
Project Description
The 760 -mile pipeline traverses western
Wyoming to Central Kansas, with a diameter of
14 -inches for the first 150 miles from Opal to
Wamsutter, Wyo., and 16 inches on the
remaining 610 miles.
"The Overland Pass Pipeline project is meeting
a very real need by providing an outlet for
natural gas liquids from Wyoming and the
Rockies to the rest of the United States," said
Brian Jeffries, Wyoming Pipeline Authority's
executive director. "The Wyoming Pipeline
Authority applauds the perseverance displayed
by Overland Pass in completing this project
that will provide lasting benefits to
Wyoming."♦

What's Next?
Although construction is complete, restoration
and monitoring efforts will continue through
next spring. The restoration process started in
the fall of 2007 along completed portions of
the route and ONEOK Partners representatives
will be back in the spring for post -construction
monitoring. Should there be any vegetation
that does not meet restoration standards,
ONEOK Partners will re -seed the areas and
continue monitoring the progress. It improper
grading, trench subsidence or the like is
reported, small crews will be mobilized to the
area to restore the area to pre -construction
conditions.
Denver-Julesburg (D -J) Basin
Plans for a 125 -mile natural gas liquids lateral
pipeline were announced in September 2008.
The proposed lateral will run from the Denver-
Julesburg (D -J) Basin in northeastern Colorado
to the Overland Pass Pipeline near Briggsdale,
Cob. The 6 -to 12 -inch pipeline will transport
up to 55,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per
day from five natural gas processing facilities
in the D -J Basin. The proposed pipeline is
projected to be in-service the first quarter
of 2009.
"The projected volumes of natural gas liquids
from these plants in the D -J Basin will bolster
supply on the Overland Pass Pipeline and into
our fractionation and storage facilities in
Conway, Kan.," ONEOK Partners executive vice
president, Terry Spencer said.
Piceance Basin
This 150 -mile, 14 -inch diameter lateral
pipeline is currently expected to be in service
during the third quarter of 2009. The pipeline
starts in the Piceance River Basin, southwest
of Meeker, Cob., and traverses north to meet
the Overland Pass Project southeast of
Wamsutter, Wyo. Initial flow on the lateral is
expected to be approximately 30,000 barrels
per day. •
