RE: APPROVE QUIT CLAIM MINERAL DEED AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - ORR
RESOURCES, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quit Claim Mineral Deed from the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
to Orr Resources, LLC, 1813 61 stAvenue, Suite 200, Greeley, Colorado 80634, commencing upon
full execution, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said Quit Claim Deed; said
property being described as:
A 30 -foot wide strip in the SW1/4NW1/4 of Section 31, Township 6
North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado;
being more fully described within Exhibit A to said deed, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Quit Claim Mineral
Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Quit Claim Mineral Deed from the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, to Orr Resources, LLC, be,
and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said Quit Claim Mineral Deed.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 3rd day of June, A.D., 2009.

QUIT CLAIM MINERAL DEED
This QUIT CLAIM MINERAL DEED is made this 3d of June, 2009, by and
between The County of Weld, Colorado, a body corporate and politic of the State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, 915 10th
Street, Greeley, CO 80631 ("Weld County"), as Grantor, and On Resources, LLC, 1813
61st Avenue, Suite 200, Greeley, CO 80634 ("ORR"), as Grantee.
1. CONVEYANCE. For $10 and other valuable consideration, the receipt and
sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, Weld County does hereby quit claim
and set over unto ORR all of Grantor's right, title and interest in and to all oil, gas,
and other minerals on, in, under, and that may be produced from the lands in Weld
County, Colorado, more particularly described on Exhibit "A," attached hereto.
2. NO SURFACE USE. No surface operations of any kind in connection with the
extraction of oil, gas and other minerals shall be conducted from the lands described
on Exhibit A.
3. NO WARRANTY. This conveyance is made without any warranty of title, express
or implied.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, William F. Garcia, Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of said County of Weld, State of Colorado, on behalf of said County and
by virtue of the Resolution made by said Board of County Commissioners on the 3d day
of June, 2009, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said County this 3rd day

Request for Quitclaim deed - 30' ROW strip
By deed dated December 29, 1915, recorded in Book 429 at Page 512,
the heirs of W.R. Jones, decd, conveyed to Weld County a strip of
land 30 feet in width along the western boundary line of the NWSW and
W2NW of Section 31, Township 6 North, Range 66 West. The deed recites
in two places that the strip is being conveyed for public highway
purposes and the grantors reserve "as an easement in the premises
hereby conveyed" the right to continue to maintain the main Jones
Ditch and a lateral.
In the past, Lee Morrison has secured a mineral quitclaim deed from
the County to the abutting landowners in circumstances such as this.
The abutting landowner is Sally A. Parsons, 4020 W. 14th. Street,
Greeley, CO 80634. Our client is Orr Energy, LLC, who has drilled a
directional well to the S2NW4 from a spot in the NESW of Section 31.
We need in this case a deed only as to the W. 30' of the SWNW as that
is the only portion of the strip that is in our unit. Dr. Parson's
property does. however, abut the entire 30' strip.
Is the County willing to execute a quitclaim deed in this case?
