PERMIT #1694 FOR A HOME BUSINESS (STORAGE OF CONSTRUCTION
MATERIALS - STEEL DOORS AND FRAMES) IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE
DISTRICT - KEITH THOENE
A public hearing was conducted on October 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Chair
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Commissioner David E. Long - EXCUSED
Also present:

Planning Department representative, Chris Gathman
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 8, 2009, and duly published May 15, 2009,
in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted on June 24, 2009, to consider the
request of Keith Thoene for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review
Permit #1694 for a Home Business (storage of construction materials - steel doors and frames)
in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. At said hearing, the Board deemed it advisable to continue
the matter to July 29, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., to allow adequate time for review of the matter by the
Planning Commission. At said hearing on July 29, 2009, the matter was again continued to
October 28, 2009, to allow additional time for review of the matter by the Planning Commission.
At said hearing on October 28, 2009, Bruce Barker, County Attorney, made this a matter of
record.
Chris Gathman, Department of Planning Services, indicated that the applicant is working to
obtain the necessary Certificate of Occupancy for his residence, which is currently under
construction. He confirmed the Planning Commission hearing was continued once again,
therefore, he requested that the matter be referred back to staff, to allow adequate time for
review of the matter by the Planning Commission.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to refer the matter of a Site Specific Development Plan and
Use by Special Review Permit #1694 for a Home Business (storage of construction materials -
steel doors and frames) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, back to the Department of Planning
Services. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirkmeyer, and it carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:20 a.m.
