would request another full size (24 x 36 drawing) of the site with the changes so we can

There should be no changes to the employee numbers or the vehicle trips
from the 3rd AmUSR-6555, it is simply a case that the cage density
requirements for animal welfare regulations have changed and it requires
more houses for the same amount of birds now.
Attached is the updated plat, I'm sorry I did not include in the
previous email.

Dear Mr. athrnan
Sparboe Farms is in the process of completing the building plans for five new layer
houses at their facility in Hudson, Colorado. The Amended USR allows for 1,620,000
layers with the addition of five new layers houses; however, due to new animal welfare
cage density requirements for the poultry industry, a total ofeight layer houses will be
required to complete the build out to 1.62 million layers. The additional houses will not
increase the approved animal numbers nor will it change the intent or the boundary of the
approved USR. I have submitted and the Weld County Building Department has received
plan approval from the Hudson Fire Department on the proposed buildings. I am
submitting a plat sho wi n the location of the new layer houses for your review, I
anticipate the submission of the layer house plans to the Building Department as soon as
the completed plans are available.
Sparboe Farms is requesting an administrative amendment to the USR to allow for the
additional three houses to complete the expansion of the facility.
