Home My WebLink About20091450.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JUNE 22, 2009 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, June 22, 2009, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner William F. Garcia, Chair Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Pro-Tem Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer - EXCUSED Commissioner David E. Long Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Elizabeth Strong Director of Administrative Services, Monica Mika MINUTES: Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of June 17, 2009, as printed. Commissioner Conway seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER AGREEMENT FOR EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT AND DELEGATION OF SIGNATORY AUTHORITY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Tom Teixeira, Director, Greeley -Weld County Housing Authority, stated the contract will allocate $57,109.00 to Weld County. Mr. Teixeira stated the money will be distributed as follows: $11,000.00 will be awarded to the Greeley Transitional House; $11,000.00 will be awarded to A Woman's Place; $20,500.00 will be awarded to Catholic Charities; $4,500.00 will be awarded to Room at the Inn; $3,109.00 will be awarded to Stepping Stones of Windsor; and $3,000.00 will be allocated to Administration. He requested that he be identified as the contract manager, which was included within the contract in previous years; however, a new contract form is being used this year. In response to Chair Garcia, Mr. Teixeira stated this is the same contract the Board reviewed in its work session. In response to Commissioner Rademacher, Mr. Teixeira reiterated $11,000.00 will be awarded to the Transitional House and A Woman's Place. Commissioner Conway moved to approve said agreement and delegation of signatory authority and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long, the motion carried unanimously.
