HomeMy WebLinkAbout20090114.tiffRESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAME TO FORT MORGAN AMBULANCE SERVICES AND NORTHERN COLORADO RETAC WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as twelve (12) Stryker cots, being more fully described in said proposal which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a proposal from the Fort Morgan Ambulance Services to buy six of the Stryker cots for, and in consideration of, the sum of $1,200.00 per cot, with the remaining cots being offered to the Northern Colorado RETAC, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve said sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus. They have 12 cots, if they were to be sent back to the vendor they have agreed to refund us $1,200 per cot. Fort Morgan Ambulance Services has already told Dave they want 6 of the 12. The RETAC group is being offered the remaining 6. I would like the BOCC support to declare them surplus and sell them to interested agencies for the trade value we were offered by the vendor. Please advise on how I need to proceed to complete this.
