RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON
COUNTY ROAD 15 BETWEEN COUNTY ROADS 2 AND 6
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the Board
that a temporary speed limit reduction be implemented and that temporary signs be installed on
County Road 15 between County Roads 2 and 6, to ensure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said temporary traffic control devices are
necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to install
temporary speed limit reduction signs on County Road 15 between County Roads 2 and 6, for the
safety of the general public, and said signs shall conform to the State Manual of Uniform Traffic
Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 15th day of July, A.D., 2009.

A Request Resolution from the BOCC directing Public Works to install temporary traffic regulatory signs
(Speed Limit R2-1) on WCR 15 between WCR 2 & 6. This temporary speed reduction will be in place on
August 8, 2009 for a special event.
