RE: IfSR #" 1608'Ho1Takes
Dear Kim:
Weld County Planning Department
GREELEY OFFICE

RECEIVE
July 9, 2009
This letter is written in response to your letter dated June 29, 2009 regarding the status of
Holton Lakes USR (# 1608).
Ready Mixed Concrete Company (RMCC) very much appreciates your past assistance
regarding RMCC's Holton Lakes project and our desire to integrate the Holton and Morton sand
and gravel mining and reclamation plans. Following the Weld County Board of County
Commissioners (Board) August 22, 2007 approval of USR 1608 we began work on the various
conditions that must be met prior to recording the Holton plat. However, as you know, the Flood
Hazard Development permit proved to be more problematic than any of us anticipated. With the
Board's recent approval of the Morton Lakes USR (#1682) we can now complete the remaining
requirements for Holton Lakes and record the plat.
I can assure you that the Holton Lakes project "has not been abandoned and that it is the
intention of Ready Mixed Concrete Company to complete this project, addressing and meeting
all of the conditions of approval in a timely manner."
Mike and I look forward to seeing you next Thursday, July 16th at 9:00 a.m. to discuss
RMCC's plans regarding Holton Lakes. I will mail a hard copy of this to you.
,erely,
Bill Timmons
End.
