Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carlson,
The Department of Planning Services has reviewed our property research and USR-1413 (Action
Pursuit Paintball) file. I have found correspondence in the file re: the applicant's request
(see the above attachments). The Department of Planning Services made an administrative
determination in October 27, 2008 that the proposal to operate a gun store/indoor shooting
range would not require an amendment to USR-1413 provided the required building permits be
applied for, approved and constructed prior to the operation of the indoor shooting range.
The Department of Planning Services made this determination based on the understanding that
the # of participants and spectators would not increase (thereby increasing traffic to and
from the site) and that appropriate building permits be applied for to upgrade the facility
for indoor shooting. Additionally, the applicant will be subject to the same development
standards and operating standards as the original indoor paintball facility approved under
USR-1413 (for example, the owner/operator will need to comply with the same noise standards).
I have attached the correspondence and resolution of approval for USR-1413 with this e-mail.

We live next door to what was Colorado Indoor Paintball. Our address is 22601 US Hwy 34,
Greeley. They now have a sign up saying they are a gun store and do 'tactical training.' How
could an agricultural -zoned space become a gun store and shooting range without the people
living next to it knowing. Do they have the proper permits to do that? If they do, what
didn't we have a chance to voice our opposition?
