RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE TO LAURA DENNUNE
SWAIN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board now is the owner of Tax Sale Certificate No. 20060060, which applies
to property which is described as 2569-A, Lots 3 and 4, Block 5, Buckingham First Addition, located
in Weld County, Colorado, and is for the value of the 2005 taxes, with endorsements for the years
2006 through 2008, plus interest, and
WHEREAS, Laura Dennune Swain has paid to the Treasurer the sum of $100.06, which
represents the full amount of the outstanding taxes, interest, penalties, and assignment fee, with the
desire to obtain the subject property through a Treasurer's Deed for the purpose of redevelopment,
and
WHEREAS, the Board has the authority to assign the Certificate in this manner pursuant to
Section 39-11-120, C.R.S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be, and hereby is, directed to prepare Tax Sale
Certificate No. 20060060 for assignment to Laura Dennune Swain.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized to sign
said assignment, if necessary, and any other associated necessary documentation to affect said
assignment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 14th day of December, A.D., 2009.

RE: Tax Sale of Land in Buckingham Townsite
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Myers:
This letter is written to you to inquire as to whether you have any interest in the acquisition of
two lots located in the Buckingham Townsite. These particular lots are surrounded on three
sides by lots currently owned by you. I have enclosed maps and descriptions of the property in
question and your property, in hopes that they will answer any location questions you may
have.
The lots in question were owned by Alternative Market Exchange Limited. However, that entity
has not paid the property taxes on them for three years, (2006-2008). Therefore, the property
may be deeded to anyone willing to pay the back taxes, interest and Treasurer's expenses on
the property. In this case, that total will be $99.10. This figure is current through the month of
November, 2009. If you decide to take the property, there would be an additional fee for title
insurance and for deed costs. If you are interested, I will provide those figures to you.
Please let me know if you are interested in acquiring these two lots. You may contact me by

The amount paid by Laura Swain was actually $100.06 (2005-2008 taxes plus penalties) and
$4.00 assignment fee. The dollar amount on the certificate doesn't reflect the redemption
interest that is calculated monthly.
