RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN - AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Agreement for
Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Aims
Community College, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Agreement for Services between the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on
behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Aims Community College be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 29th day of June, A.D., 2009.

COLORADO RE Amendment to Agreement for Services between the Weld
County Department of Human Services and Aims Community
College
Enclosed for Board approval is the Amendment to Agreement for Services between the Weld
County Department of Human Services and Aims Community College. This Amendment was
presented at the Board's June 8, 2009, Work Session.
This Amendment is to the Department's contract with Aims Community College, to extend
for one month until June 30, 2009, in order for Aims to purchase educational materials such
as: Science/Nature, Math/Number, Diversity, Books, Classroom Meeting materials such as
puppets, large post -it -notes; Cozy area materials (squeeze balls, calming activities, problem
solving cards, etc.).
The funds will come from the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program and Colorado Works
for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
All other Terms and Conditions of the original Agreement shall remain in effect.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN
SERVICES AND AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE
This letter is to serve notice that Weld County Department of Human Services wishes to amend its
contract with Aims Community College, previously put into effect on June 30, 2008, in the following
manner.
(I) The term of the contract shall be extended to June 30, 2009.
(2) The Scope of Services shall be expanded to include the direct purchase of educational materials
to be provided to Child Care Centers, in order to enable them to increase their scores on the
Environment Rating Scales assessment. Materials may include: Science/Nature, Math/Number,
Diversity, Books, Classroom Meeting materials such as puppets, large post -it notes; Cozy area
materials (squeeze balls, calming activities, problem solving cards, etc.)
(3) Expenditures will only qualify for reimbursement from Weld County Department of Human
Services to Aims Community College if invoices are provided in sufficient time to remit such
payment prior to June 30, 2009.
All other Terms and Conditions of the original Agreement shall remain in effect.
