" WHEREAS, J .M.B . Petrikin, of Greeley, Weld County,
Colorado has presented his written petition praying
for a vac#,ion of that part of Road No. 140 over and
across the Northeast Quarter (NEI) of Section Eighteen
(18) in Township Five (5) North , of Range Sixty-five
(65) West of the 6th P .M. in Weld County, Colorado , and
WHEREAS, on or about November 8th, 1927 T .B . Moodey
- - - -- - made--a- survey for anew road-over -and across said-North-
east Quarter (NEI) which said road was laid out and
established in place of said old road over said North-
east Quarter (NEI) , and
WHEREAS, said petitioner, .J .M.B . Petrikin has
deeded to Weld County, Colorado, a strip of ground
sixty feet wide over and across said Northeast Quarter
(NEI) along the line of said survey , which deed more
definitely describes said highway , and
WHEREAS, said J .M.B . Petrikin is a freeholder and
the owner of all of the land adjoining Road No.140
over and across the northwest corner of said Northeast
Quarter (NEk) ,
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That that portion
of Road No.140 traversing the Northeast Quarter (NEt)
of Section Eighteen ( 18) , in Township Five ( 5) North,
of Range Sixty-five (65) West of the 6th P .M. , in Weld
County, Colorado, and commencing- at_ a point approximately -- --
1055.9 feet east of the northwest corner of said North-
east Quarter (NEe) of said Section Eighteen ( 18) , and
running thence in a southwesterly direction to a point
on the west line of said Northeast Quarter (NEI) approx-
imately 518 feet south of the Northwest corner of said
Northeast Quarter (NE4) , be and the same is hereby
vacated, subject , however, to a right of way for water
pipe line of the city of Greeley heretofore granted by
this Board on January llth, 1906 .
It is further Resolved that said deed from J .M.B.
Petrikin to Weld County, Colorado , for a new public
highway over and across said Northeast Quarter (NEk)
in lieu of said highway hereby vacated, be and the same
is hereby accepted . n

shows ;
That he is the owner of The Northeast Quarter
(NE-14)- of-SectionEighteen (18); in Township Five (5) North,
of Range Sixty-five ( 65) West of the 6th P .M. in Weld County,
Colorado.
That heretofore, and on to-wit ; January 22nd, 1883
Road No.140 was established by your Honorable Board ; that
a part of:said road traversed over and across the northwest
corner of the above described land , commencing at a point
approximately 1055.9 feet east of the northwest corner of
said Northeast Quarter (NEk) of said Section Eighteen ( 18),
and running thence in a southwesterly direction to a point
on the west line of said Northeast Quarter (NEI) approximately
518 feet south of the Northwest corner of said Northeast
Quarter (NEI ) .
That on or about the 8th day of November A.D.1927
a survey was made. by T.B. Moodey for a new road over and
across the said Northeast Quarter (NEI) of said Section
Eighteen (18) to take the place of said old road, or road
known as No. 140 over and across said land . That thereafter
said old road, and a part of said road No . 140 was abandoned
• and a new road was made and laid out along said survey.,
over and across said Northeast Quarter (NE and is now
being used as a public highway . That said new highway
being 60 feet in width is described in the attached deed
from petitioner to Weld County, Colorado.

That your petitioner, being a fveeholder and
the owner of all of the land adjoining •Road No.140
thru, over and across a portion of the said Northeast
Quarter (NEI) of said Section Eighteen (18) , desires
that your Honorable Board vacate all that portion of
Road No. 140 over and across said Northeast Quarter
(NEe), commencing at a point approximately 1055.9
• feet east of the northwest corner of said Northeast
Quarter (NEI) and running thence in a southwesterly
direction to a point on the west line of said Northeast
Quarter (NEI) approximately 518 feet south of the North-
west corner of said Northeast Quarter (NEI) , subject to
the right of way for a pipe line granted to the City of
Greeley on January llth, 1906, and accept from your
petitioner the attached deed for said new highway .
WHEREFORE, your petitioner prays that your Honorable
Board vacate so much of said Road No .140_ as orbginally
laid out or thereafter changed or altered over and across
said Northeast Quarter (NEI ) of said Section Eighteen
( 18) , in Township Five ( 5) North, of Range Sixty-five (65)
West of the 6th P.M. , subject to right of way of the
City of Greeley for a pipe line along the course of said
original highway. , and accept from petitioner the
attached deed for the new highway over and across said
Northeast Quarter (NEI) .

GENTLEMEN:—
We the undersigned Citizens of your County, respectfully represent that the necessities of
the public require a county wagon road to be laid out as follows, to wit: Commencing at
