The Weld County Regional Communications Center paging replacement proposals have been
evaluated by the IT Staff and reviewed based on several considerations. After receiving the
proposals we have determined that it is our desire to maintain a system that will conform as
closely as possible to the present Emergin system. In the current financial climate and with the
limited funds available we feel that any significant changes may also result in re -engineering the
interface with the Tiburon CAD system which could have significant financial consequences.
Keeping these criteria in mind, we eliminated several of the proposals either based on initial cost
or system integration (see bid information below).
We selected two prospective providers, Alertify Wireless Solutions and Widata.net because these
proposals can be integrated into our current system with no re -engineering of the existing Tiburon
CAD interface and the current data can be incorporated into the new system.
In our final analysis we selected Alertify Wireless Solutions because they are the current system
support provider and have extensive experience with the Emergin system that is being replaced.
Even though the bid was slightly more than the proposal submitted by Widata.net we feel that the
initial added cost of approximately $1,040 will be justified by making this transition as seamless as
possible.

To whom it may concern,
On behalf of the Weld County Regional Communication Center, the technology support staff has
been exploring alternatives for the replacement of the existing paging system. That system will
integrate with the existing Tiburon CAD system used by the emergency dispatch center to alert
emergency responders to calls for service, as well as provide paging services to area system
users.
As you know we have asked for proposals from vendors to evaluate their products and how they
will integrate into the Tiburon system. We have received eight proposals from six vendors
which are currently under evaluation. The proposed solutions vary widely in cost and
technology used to accomplish the replacement of the current system. In evaluating the
proposals we are making every effort to evaluate the total impact and final cost of
implementation. Central in this evaluation is the current Tiburon CAD interface which processes
and passes the pages to the paging system itself. We have narrowed the field to two
prospective providers which, at this time, we feel may be able to integrate into the current
system with relatively little or no modification to the existing Tiburon CAD system. However,
prior to making any final recommendation we would like to further evaluate these two
prospective providers and the product that they would be installing.
We will notify you when we have finished our evaluation process and are prepared to present
our proposed recommendation.
