At that time, we discussed my concerns regarding duration of events, traffic and noise resulting from the Anderson Farms' special use request. I live a short distance north of Anderson Farms on Reflection Drive, off of County Road 3 1/4. Yesterday I had a very pleasant chat with Todd Hodges, a land use planner hired by Anderson Farms for their Special Use request. Based on my discussion with Mr. Hodges, I now have the following understanding of how Anderson Farms will address my concerns: Duration of Events: An event is defined as 1 day. Traffic: Anderson Farms will install a second entrance to their parking lot on CR 3 '/ to address the instances of stopped and backed -up traffic on heavy attendance days. There will be at least 8 "flaggers" at each entrance to ensure that both entrances are fully utilized to enhance traffic flow both in the parking lot and on CR 3 1/4. Noise: Anderson Farms has no plans to use the "cannon" in the future. If the "cannon" or similar noise producing devices are used, they will stop loud noises at 9PM on school nights. I would like to add a request to include amplified music to the type of noise that would stop at 9 on school nights. If my understanding of actions to address my concerns as described above is correct, I have no objections to the Anderson Farms Request for Special Use at this time, and look forward to once again attending this Fall's event. In summary, I hope that my comments will be seen as an attempt to meet the needs of Anderson Farms to operate a viable business, as well as allow me to quietly enjoy my residence in this beautiful part of Weld County. I am available for any continued discussions that may be necessary for the benefit of all parties.
