SUBJECT: 2009 Cattle Guard Bid, 60900080
The Public Works Department recommends that the Board of Commissioners accept the bid for cattle
guards from DBE Manufacturing, the low bidder, at a total cost of $30,408 for eight complete cattle
guards ($341 each for 40 concrete foundations and $2,096 each for eight, 12 ft panels) or $3,801 per
cattle guard.
We further recommend that DBE Manufacturing be awarded the bid for 16 ft panels and additional
concrete foundations at a cost of $15,212.00.
There is $56,000 budgeted for this purchase.
