RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF RURAL TASK FORCE AND APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to establish a Rural Task Force to implement strategies of
the 2008 Comprehensive Plan that seek to review County regulations regarding rural land use and
to report back to the Board on or prior to December 31, 2009, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to appoint the following members to the Rural Task Force:
Tom Holton (Planning Commission representative), Jerry Hergenreder, Lars Voss, Fred Walker,
Mark Pelzel, Lester Hardesty, Tom Haren, Lynda Pruett, and Ted Carlson, with said appointments
to end as of December 31, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that a Rural Task Force be, and hereby is, established to implement strategies
of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan that seek to review County regulations regarding rural land use
and to report back to the Board on or prior to December 31, 2009.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the following members be, and hereby are,
appointed to the Rural Task Force: Tom Holton (Planning Commission representative), Jerry
Hergenreder, Lars Voss, Fred Walker, Mark Pelzel, Lester Hardesty, Tom Haren, Lynda Pruett,
and Ted Carlson, with said appointments to end as of December 31, 2009.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 18th day of May, A.D., 2009.
