RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - TROY HAUSE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and
Troy Hause, commencing February 18, 2009, and ending May 31, 2009, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Child Protection Agreement for Services between
the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Troy Hause, be, and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 18th day of February, A.D., 2009.

COLORADO RE: Amendment to a Child Protection Agreement for Services
between the Weld County Department of Human Services
and W. Troy Hause, Attorney -At -Law
Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to a Child Protection Agreement for Services
between the Department and W. Troy Hause, Attorney -At -Law. This Agreement was presented
at the Board's February 10, 2009, Work Session.
The major provisions of this Amendment are as follows:
1. Amendment is to Exhibit B, Payment Schedule, Item 1.
2. The Department agrees to increase its reimbursement level to the contractor from $10,000 to
a maximum of $20,000 for purposes to meet increased demand for mediation services.
3. The contractor provides mediation services involving Dependency and Neglect cases.
4. All other terms remain as stated in the original agreement including the source of funding,
which is Core Services, and the termination date of May 31, 2009.

AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES AND
W. TROY HAUSE — ATTORNEY AT LAW
This Amendment, made and entered into the day of February 2009, by and between the Board
of County Commissioners, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human services, hereinafter
referred to as "Department," and W. Troy Hause — Attorney at Law, hereinafter referred to as the
"Contractor."
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current Agreement (PY-08-09-CORE-0131) in
order to increase the maximum expenditure allowable under the contract; and
WHEREAS, Human Services has budgeted, appropriated, and otherwise made available; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance, and coordination have been accomplished from and
with appropriate agencies.

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as
Exhibit B, Payment Schedule, Item I, is hereby revised to reflect the following:
The Department agrees to reimburse CONTRACTOR in consideration for the work and
services performed from Core Services funding, not to exceed $20,000.00.
This Amendment, together with the original Child Protection Agreement for Services, constitutes
the entire understanding among the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and may not be
changed or modified except as stated in the Child Care Development Agreement for Services.
