To preserve your appeal rights, your Petition to the County Board of Equalization must be
postmarked or delivered on or before July 15 for real property and on or before July 20 for
personal property — after such date, your right to appeal is lost. You may be required to prove that
you filed a timely appeal; therefore, we recommend that all correspondence be mailed with proof of
mailing.
You will be notified of the date and time scheduled for your hearing. The County Board of
Equalization must mail a written decision to you within five business days following the date of the
decision. The County Board of Equalization must conclude hearings and render decisions by August
5, § 39-8-107(2), C.R.S. If you do not receive a decision from the County Board of Equalization and
you wish to continue your appeal, you must file an appeal with the Board of Assessment Appeals by
September 11.
If you are dissatisfied with the County Board of Equalization's decision and you wish to continue your

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is being sent to appeal the denial by the Weld County Assessor regarding our
2009 Tax Assessment. Our property is located at 32791 Stagecoach Rd, Windsor, CO
80550, phone: 970-686-0879, owned by Leslie M and Christine H Godlevsky.
We believe that the one year 59% increase in the land value is inaccurate. As a
landowner/homeowner, we believe that our land values have decreased due to the
development and close proximity of the Windsor Industrial Park (i.e. Owens Illinois
bottling plant, Front Range Energy and Vestas Wind Turbine plant.
Numerous homes have been for sale in our subdivision (Willow Springs Estates) and
surrounding areas and few sales have occurred with the exception on one foreclosure in
the past 2 years. We believe that this is due to the close proximity to the Windsor
Industrial Park. What used to be a quiet residential community located near the town of
Windsor, has now become a subdivision bordering an industrial area with all the
aggravations and nuisances associated with such a location.
Attached please find our Petition to the County Board of Equalization and various proof
sources which indicate that homes located in the area 80550 have seen sales prices,
number of sales and the price per square foot decline over the past 18 months.
We would be happy if the Board would consider leaving our tax assessment value the
same as the 2008 assessment value of $306,204.
