Mr. Garcia,
My name is Lori Jarrett and I am Broker/Owner of Take Me Home Real Estate, LLC. I am writing
to you with an urgent request to stop Powertech Uranium Corp from contaminating our water in
Northern Colorado. They have applied for permits to reinject groundwater for a pump test
without regard to the potential health risks to local homeowners who have wells in the area.
They have also begun drilling without the appropriate approval and permits to do so.
Colorado has resources readily available...sun, wind, clean water. We must focus our energy
on renewable energy and providing a clean, safe home for future generations. I feel Colorado
can be the leader in Green Energy - creating jobs and providing affordable, sustainable green
housing. Uranium mining will contaminate the water of future generations and bring our
economy to a halt. I fear if uranium mining in Northern Colorado is approved and Powertech
continues drilling, it will be the beginning of more mining approvals across the US. The
simple fact is that we cannot survive without clean water and I urge you to act now. Thank
you so much for your time.
