This may be information you have supplied, corrections of characteristics or additional sales which we have uncovered during the appeals process. If you disagree with the Assessor's decision, you have the right to appeal to the County Board of Equalization for further consideration, § 39-8-106(1)(a), C.R.S. The local taxing authorities (county, school district, city, fire protection, and other special districts) set mill levies. The mill levy requested by each taxing authority is based on a projected budget and the property tax revenue required to adequately fund the services it provides to its taxpayers. The local taxing authorities hold budget hearings in the fall. If you are concerned about mill levies, we recommend that you attend these budget hearings. Please refer to last year's tax bill or ask your Assessor for a listing of the local taxing authorities. Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 RE: Account/Schedule Number R2226903 Dear Weld County Board of Equalization: 19013 County Rd. 15 Johnstown, CO 80534 970-587-1134 mabrick@msn.com The attached Petition to County Board of Equalization is support for protesting the property value of $697,851 shown on the 6/24/2009 Real and Personal Property Notice of Determination. We purchased this property on March 20, 2008 for $690,000 as shown on the attachments. This is within the January 2007 — June 30, 2008 time period used for the 2009 appraisals. Property values did not increase during the time period March 20, 2008 — June 30, 2008, so the sales value negotiated at the time of sale between a willing buyer and seller are the best source for the valuation. Therefore, our final estimate of the property's value as of June 30, 2008 is the actual sales value of $690,000. Sincerely, 1 ak._ Marsha A.
