RE: RELINQUISHMENT OF WELD COUNTY HEAD START GRANT AND MIGRANT AND
SEASONAL HEAD START GRANT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to relinquish the Weld County Head Start grant effective
January 1, 2010, unless it is determined by the Board that such a mid -year relinquishment
would cause substantial disruption that cannot be mitigated, whereupon the effective date shall
be June 1, 2010, and
WHEREAS, the Board also desires to relinquish the Weld County Migrant and Seasonal
Head Start grant effective January 1, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Weld County Head Start grant be, and hereby is, relinquished
effective January 1, 2010, unless it is determined by the Board that such a mid -year
relinquishment would cause substantial disruption that cannot be mitigated, whereupon the
effective date shall be June 1, 2010.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Weld County Migrant and Seasonal
Head Start grant be, and hereby is, relinquished effective January 1, 2010.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign any documents necessary to effectuate said relinquishments.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 4th day of November, A.D., 2009.
