RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
AND DIRECTOR OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners appointed Donald D. Warden as
Director of Finance and Administration, effective September 20, 1978, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners approved a succession plan that
provided that Mr. Warden would retire from his position of Director of Finance and Administration,
effective December 31, 2009, to work part-time as the Director of Budget and Management
Analysis, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners, as a result of the succession plan,
desire to appoint Monica Daniels -Mika to the position of Director of Finance and Administration,
effective as of January 1, 2010.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by Board of Weld County Commissioners that,
effective January 1, 2010, Monica Daniels -Mika be, and hereby is, appointed the Director of Finance
and Administration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that, effective
January 1, 2010, Donald D. Warden be, and hereby is, appointed to the part-time position of
Director of Budget and Management Analysis.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 16th day of Dec r, A.D., 2009.
