HomeMy WebLinkAbout20090681.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR EXTENSION PROGRAM - COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of Understanding for the Extension Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Colorado State University Extension, commencing upon full execution, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said Memorandum of Understanding, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of Understanding for the Extension Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Colorado State University Extension be, and hereby is, approved. ('Cl DI(;AI)O 5A� I bis Memorandum of I''nderstanding entered into this 13 `day of /gait( 2009, by and between Colorado State University Extension (hereinafter referred to as "Extension") and Weld County_ Colorado (hereinafter referred to as "County") WI IIREAS_ County desires to participate in the educational programs as authorized by the Smith -Lever Act, as amended, and other acts supporting Extension programs, WI IEREAS, Extension is authorised by State and Federal lass to conduct Extension educational programs in the State of Colorado_ and. WI IEREAS, Iivension programs are developed in response to local needs, Extension plans O1 work and program prioritization are determined jointly hs the County Extension Advisory Committee, County Commissioners, and ('SG Extension Iaculty and staff.
