Mrs. June Steinmark, Chairperson
Board of County Commissioners
Weld County
Greeley, CO 80631
Dear Mrs. Steinmark:
We have attached a copy of Weld County's provisions on conflict of
interest, Section 16-9 of the Weld County Charter.
We believe that this section is self explanatory, that conflict of
interest is clearly defined, and that the proper procedure in the
event of the "question" is properly identified.
As an elected official, we feel it is your responsibility to properly
inform any employ or appointed board member which might be affected
by this section.
Although it is advisable to avoid unnecessarily raising the issue of
conflict of interest, it is the intention of the Weld County Council
to abide by the provisions of Section 16-9 (3) in the event such a
question is properly presented to us.
Respectfully,
Nncy a7V
Chairperson
