HomeMy WebLinkAbout20092905.tiffCOLORADO Memorandum To: Board of County Commissioners From: Monica Mika, Director of Administrative Services Date: December 16, 2009 Re: On -Site Clinic Bid The Department of Finance and Administration has reviewed the nine proposed bids for the On -Site Clinic. A committee was developed to assist in this review and to visit some of the vendor site locations. After review, we recommend IMC (Second low bidder) be selected. Attached, please find a spreadsheet delineating specific selection categories. You will see by this chart that IMC was the most cost competitive firm capable of providing a comprehensive program, including, extended hours of service, Occupational medical treatment options, integrated wellness, and direct medical oversight. Scope of proposal: - Meeting the intent of need - Following format and completeness of application - Firm capability - Assigned personnel - Cost of proposed services and return on investment (ROI) - Weld County Compatibility The first low Bidder, CIGNA, was not selected, as the applicant failed to demonstrate a comprehensive wellness program capable of meeting our needs, and Cigna also failed to meet our occupational treatment needs. The Greeley Medical Clinic submitted a bid deemed incomplete due to lacking information regarding specific bid requested information and failing to meet the intent of the bid. I have a conflict at that time to attend, but here is a statement that may be read on behalf of the safety and wellness committee. Thank you. The Weld County Safety and Wellness Committee fully supports the implementation of an on -site medical clinic. We feel that this will allow the safety and wellness program to grow and provide additional opportunities for our insured population; thus resulting in a healthier and more productive workforce and a positive return on investment. We look forward to working with the selected vendor in the coming year. Anyway, do you feel that it is important that the S&W program has a prepared statement to read and have a presence at that meeting?
