RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO FAMILIES, YOUTH, AND CHILDREN COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Families, Youth, and Children Commission,
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Dr. Christopher Moore, Elizabeth Garison,
Gwen Schooley, and Juanita Garcia be appointed to said board as the physician representative,
the law enforcement representative, the mental health representative, and the school district
representative, respectively, to replace Dr. Daniel Fahrenholtz, Wendy Rich-Goldschmidt, John
Ashby, and Juan Lopez, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Dr. Christopher Moore, Elizabeth
Garison, and Gwen Schooley to said board, with terms to expire December 31, 2010 and to appoint
Juanita Garcia to said board, with a term to expire December 31, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Dr. Christopher Moore, Elizabeth Garison, Gwen Schooley, and Juanita
Garcia be, and hereby are, appointed to the Families, Youth, and Children Commission, with terms
to expire December 31, 2010 and December 31, 2011, respectively.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 20th day of April, A.D., 2009.
