Dear Mr. Billings and Mrs. Steinmark: SUBJECT: Custodial Service for the
Walton Building at 315 North
II Avenue, Greeley
I am requesting that the Board of County Commissioners terminate the custodial
contract existent with C $ R Cleaning Service. The attached contract indicates
that the agreement may be terminated by either party by giving thirty days' notice
in writing prior to the desired date of termination. The attached letter dated
November I , 1976 will list the reasons for this recommendation. I would further
request that you allow the Department to rebid for this service so that it may
start under new contract January I , 1977. We have discussed the situation with
Mr. Buss, and I believe he is in concurrence with our recommendations.

Dear Mr. Buss: SUBJECT: Custodial Contract
AThe custodial contract with C F, R Cleaning Service expires January 11, 1977.
We request that the contract not be renewed and bids be secured for custodiai
services for 1977. A letter was written to Mr. Parker on October 6 indicating
if another false alarm occurred, we would recommend the contract not be re-
newed. An alarm occurred on October 25, thus bringing the total false alarms
for the contract period to eight.
In the last three months the cleaning service has not been adequate. We had
sent Mr. Parker a letter on September 8 indicating the performance of the
E• cleaning service needed improvement.
Attached is a list of the kinds of complaints against C b R Cleaning Service.
The list indicates a lack of thoroughness on the part of the employees of C F. R
y Cleaning Service.
On the positive side, Mr. Parker has steam cleaned the carpet on the stairwells
! and in the lobby more frequently than was required by the contract specifications.

COUNTY PROVIDING FOR COMPLETE MAINTENANCE AND CARE OF
THE WALTON BUILDING LOCATED ON NORTH 11TH AVENUE,
GREELEY, COLORADO, ON EEHALF OF THE WELD COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

WHEREAS, C. & 12. ClcaninI, Greeley, Colorado, has presented
an agreement between itself and Weld County, Colorado, providing
for complete maintenance and care of the Walton Building located
at North 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado, on behalf of the Weld
County Department of Social Services, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado, is desirous of obtaining
complete maintenance and care for the Walton Building on behalf
of the Weld County Department of Social Services, and •
WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, believes it to be desirous
and in the best interest of Weld County to enter into the
aforementioned agreement as proposed and submitted and upon
the basis recited therein. ?
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that said agreement
providing for complete maintenance and care of the Walton
Building located at North 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado, on _
behalf of the Weld County Department of Social Services, per
copy attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, be,
and it hereby is approved.
