Road conditions in Westridge 4th Filing
Subject:
Dr. James Emmett
The comprehensive plan designates this road as a controlled
access arterial street . In the opinion of this office , and
our Traffic Division, the area is properly signed as is
shown on the attached map.
The curves are designed to be taken at 40 M.P.H. without
any problems. The suggestion of speed bumps on any public
arterial highway could not possibly be done according to the
law.
Our conclusion would be that this stretch of street is properly
marked, the curves will stand the speed this area is zoned for
and speed bumps can not be installed on a controlled access
arterial road.

Dear Commissioners , Engineering Dependent
This letter is to bring to your attention a very dan-
gerous traffic situation on 65th Avenue - 9th West Ridge
Avenue, between 20th Street and 28th ,street,
To my knowledge, there have been at least four one car
accidents in the last year, along this one -tile section of
county rod. All of these vehicles left the road and came
to rest on private property. The curves are not properly
banked, or marked and speed is not effectively regulated.
There are many school age youngsters to this residential
area, and since the road has become a race track, it has become
an- invitation to disaster.
We would like to see you arrange for speed regulation
and, marking; of trouble spots. If this doesn't control the
situation, my suggestion is that some sort of speed bumps be
installed to insure safe driving and the safety of our children.
Thank you for your consideration • this matter.
