RESOLUTION
RE : RESCINDING RESOLUTION DATED MAY 16 , 1977 REGARDING POLICY
STATEMENT OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO, ON OUT OF STATE TRAINING TRIPS FOR WELD
COUNTY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES AND DELETING THE REQUIREMENT
THAT A RECEIPT MUST BE TURNED INTO THE ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT
UPON RETURN OF TRIP TO VERIFY THE EXPENSES INCURRED ON A
$25. 00 PER DIEM PAID IN ADVANCE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, desires to adopt the following policy with regard to
out-of-state training trips :
1. If requested in the yearly budget, each department shall
be allowed no more than two (2) out-of-state training trips .
Each person attending a training meeting constitutes one (1)
trip. The person or persons attending training meetings shall
be designated by the department head.
2 . County Commissioners shall be allowed one out-of-state
training trip per commissioner per year for a maximum of five (5)
trips per year for the Board of County Commissioners.
3. A $25. 00 per diem will be paid in advance of all out-of-
state trips to cover expenses for meals , car rentals , taxi fare,
and parking fees .
4 . Lodging, air fare and registration fees will be paid
in total through receipts turned into the accounting department,
unless prepaid by a county warrant. Mileage shall be paid round
trip by air coach or by automobile calculated at the statutory
rate, whichever is the lesser.
5. If the elected official and/or department head is
accompanied by their spouse, they will be responsible for the
expenses of the spouse.
6 . Receipts must be submitted and vouchered by the depart-
ment head for expense reimbursement.
7 . The policy as set forth in this Resolution, shall take
effect on the 19thday of September 1977 , and shall remain in
effect until changed by future resolutions of the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above and fore-
going policy with regard to out-of-state training trips by Weld
County officials and employees , shall be and hereby is adopted
to become effective as set forth in this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Resolution dated May 16th,
1977, concerning policy regarding out-of-state training, be, and
hereby is rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of
September, A.D. , 1977 .
