RE : APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF THE FEDERAL AID SECONDARY
HIGHWAY SYSTEM IN WELD COUNTY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsi-
bility of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 148 of the Federal Aid Highway Act
of 1973 requires a realignment of the Federal Aid Systems after
June 30, 1976, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aid Highway Program Manual,
Volume 4 , Chapter 6, Section 7 (FHPM 4-6-7) sets forth policies
and procedures for designation of the Federal Aid Systems after
June 30, 1976, and
WHEREAS, Paragraph 5c of FHPM 4-6-7 states the Federal
Aid Secondary System shall consist of rural major collector
routes, and
WHEREAS, rural major collector routes were designated
in the 1980 Highway Functional Classification Study recently
completed in coopration with local officials and approved by the
Federal Highway Administration, and
WHEREAS , Paragraph 6c (3) of FHPM 4-6-7 states the routes
of the Federal Aid Secondary System shall be designated by each
state acting through its State Highway agency and appropriate
locat officials in cooperation with each other.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that it hereby approves
the designation of the Federal Aid Secondary System of Highways
in said county, consisting of the following public roads :
1) State Highway, 37 from U. S. Highway 34 near Kersey
northeasterly to State Highway 392.
2) State Highway 52 from the south county line north to
State Highway 14; from Interstate Highway 76 east to the east
county line.
3) State Highway 56 from the west county line east to
Interstate Highway 25.
4) State Highway 60 along the Larimer-Weld county line
east from the west county line to Interstate Highway 25; from
Interstate Highway 25 easterly via Johnstown and Milliken and
southerly to U. S. Highway 85.
5) State Highway 66 from Interstate Highway 25 easterly
to U. S. Highway 85 in Platteville.
6) State Highway 79 from the south county line northerly
to State Highway 52.
7) State Highway 257 from State Highway 60 northerly to
U.S. Highway 34; from State Highway 392 in Windsor northerly to
State Highway 14.

8) State Highway 263 from the east Greeley Urban
Boundary easterly to State Highway 37,
9) State Highway 392 from State Highway 257 east of
Windsor easterly via Lucerne and Barnesville to a junction with
a county road approximately 5, 0 miles northeast of Barnesville.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this 3rd day
of May , A. D. , 1976.
