Subject: K.P. Kauffman Company, Inc. Wattenberg Injection Well 3r1 Quarter Inspection 2009
Dear Mr. Teter:
On August 12, 2009, the Weld County Dept. of Public Health & Environment conducted a routine
inspection of the K.P. Kauffman Company, Inc. Wattenberg injection well disposal facility, located at
4468 Weld County Road 19, Weld County, Colorado. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the
facility's compliance with Use by Special Review Permit Number 1039 (USR---1039) nd applicable Weld
County Code.
In the April 15, 2009 letter for the 2"° Quarter 2009 inspection, this Department requested K.P. Kauffman
Company, Inc. to file an Air Pollutant Emission Notice and Construction Permit Application with the
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Air Pollution Control Division and copy the
submittal to this Department. This Department received no correspondence regarding an APEN
submittal; therefore, this matter was referred to the Air Pollution Control Division.
Please be advised, failure to comply with air pollution control regulations is a violation of Development
Standard 17 & 19 of USR 1039 and Section 23-2-250 of the Weld County Code. A copy of the
inspection checklist is attached. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at
