Re: Letter of Support for Ecomod
To Whom It May Concern,
On behalf of the Board of Weld County Commissioners,I am writing to express our support
for Ecomod's application for Proposition 123 financing.
We understand that Ecomod utilizes shipping container frames as the structural basis for
their modular housing units. Weld County is supportive of this construction typology,
provided the structures comply with the 2021 International Building Code (specifically
Section 3115 regarding Intermodal Shipping Containers) and all applicable state modular
manufacturing standards.
We welcome innovative manufacturing methods that contribute to the housing supply and
look forward to Ecomod's continued operations within our region.
