Dear Diana: The Town of Severance respectfully submits this letter to formally object to the proposed development of a Use by Special Review Permit for a battery energy storage facility also known as USR25-oo18. We firmly believe this property should be annexed into the Town prior to development. Our position is based on the Cooperative Planning Agreement between the Town of Severance and Weld County. As outlined in that agreement, the property abuts our Town limits and lies within our designated growth management area. Annexation in this circumstance is appropriate and consistent with the principles established in the Agreement.
