HomeMy WebLinkAbout20253382 Resolution Approve Dissolution of the Weld Faith Partnership Council Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and Whereas, the Weld Faith Partnership Council ("the Council") was established to provide a forum for faith-based perspectives, to be the liaison between the faith-based community and the Weld County Board of Commissioners, and to make informed strategic recommendations from a faith-based perspective directly to the Board of Commissioners regarding issues of concern in our communities, and Whereas, the Board has reviewed the current structure and function of the Council and has determined that its formal governance framework may no longer be necessary to achieve the Council's intended purpose, and Whereas, the Board recognizes that the Council's continued engagement, free from formal governance constraints, may better serve the Weld Faith community and enhance its ability to conduct outreach and awareness efforts, and Whereas, the Board affirms the value of faith-based input in shaping strategic direction and policy recommendations, and desires to maintain an open and collaborative relationship with faith leaders in Weld County. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Weld County Board of Commissioners that: 1. The formal structure of the Weld Faith Partnership Council is hereby dissolved, effective immediately upon the date of this Resolution. 2. The individuals and organizations previously participating in the Council are encouraged to continue offering strategic recommendations and insights to the Board from a faith-based perspective. 3. The Weld Faith community is further encouraged and empowered to conduct outreach and awareness efforts independently, without the governance or oversight of Weld County. 4.
