Home My WebLink About770799 RESOLUTION RE : AUTHORIZATION TO SIGN A QUIT CLAIM DEED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF WELD AND THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR A PARCEL OF LAND IN PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering Services has informed the Board of County Commissioners that there is a certain parcel of land owned by Weld County, more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Pt S'SWq : Beg at SW cor Sigh , E to Hwy, thence NWly to HWy 87 , S to beg (2a m/1) : Section 35 , Township 1 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, except U.P.R.R. Co. Reservation, said parcel of land is no longer needed by Weld County , Colorado, and, in order to clear our records , should he Quit Claimed to the State of Colorado, and WHEREAS , the State Department of Highways has expressed their interest in this approximate two-acre parcel , and is willing to accept a Quit Claim Deed from the County of Weld, and WHEREAS , it has been determined by the Board of. County Com- missioners that it would be in the best interest of Weld County to Quit Claim said above-described parcel of land to the State of Colorado. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners , that the Chairman of the Board be, and hereby is , authorized to sign a Quit Claim Deed from the County of Weld to the State of Colorado for the above-described parcel of land. The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of October, A.D. , 1977 . The Department of Highways did con- sider this area as part of the old road right of way when the Interstate was constructed. If it will assist in clearing your records, the Department would accept a Quit Claim Ceed from the County for this tract of land.
