RESOLUTION
RE: APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL PURSUANT TO HOME
RULE CHARTER SECTION 5-4.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado does hereby appoint as special counsel the firm
of Telep & Connell and the firm of Cooke, Gilles & Schaefer to represent
Weld County in the following cases, to wit:
Weld County v. Howard, Arapahoe County District Court, No. 34566
Howard v. Weld County, U. S. District Court, C-5518; Tenth Circuit,
74-1452
Howard v. Weld County, U. S. District Court, No. 75-A-558.
Almer v. Weld County, Weld County District Court, No. 23928
Euresti v. Stenner, et al. , U. S. District Court, No. C-2462
Bennetts v. Weld County, Weld County District Court, No. 22846
Interladco, Inc. , et al. v. Glenn K. Billings, et al. , Weld County
District Court, No. 23537
and does hereby enter into an agreement with said law firms for the purpose
of representing Weld County. Compensation of said law firms shall be at
the rate of $40. 00 per hour for all time spent in representing Weld County
in the aforementioned lawsuits until such lawsuits have been fully litigated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Weld County does hereby appoint
the law firm of Telep & Connell as special counsel for the year 1976 for the
purpose of making investigations and representing the County in future suits
by and against the County, its officers or its agencies pursuant to Section 5-4
of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County further authorizes
Samuel S. Telep to employ co-counsel or investigators in any such investigations
or representations of Weld County as he deems necessary. The compensation

of the law firm of Telep & Connell shall be at the rate of $40. 00 per hour
for all time necessarily spent by said firm.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted this 31st day of December , 197 .
