RE: ESTABLISH PETTY CASH FUND AT WELD COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request that a Petty Cash Fund, in the amount of
$50.00, be established for the Weld County Extension Office, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration and the Controller have
recommended approval of said request, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to establish a Petty Cash Fund
for the Weld County Extension Office, in the amount of$50.00.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 11th day of October, A.D., 2010.

I am requesting that the County Extension Office be allowed to retain a petty cash bag with a balance of$50 in it. I have
found that my staff encounters times when there is a need to make change for our customers, or make small purchases
that do not warrant the fees of the county credit card or staff time to send the county credit card holder for the
purchase. Should there be need for further explanation, please feel free to contact me.
