Subject: EMAIL RESPONSE
The Board of Weld County Commissioners is in receipt of your email regarding vehicles for
delivering papers. The issue you raise is under the jurisdiction of the Weld County Sheriff's
Office, Sheriff John Cooke, who is an independently elected official and is directly accountable
to the citizens of Weld County. The County Commissioners have no operational authority over
him. As a result, your email is being forwarded to him for a direct response to you.
You can reach the Weld County Sheriff's Office at 970-356-4015 if you have additional
questions.

To Weld County Commissioners: Why are sheriff office process servers driving gas-guzzling vehicles when all
they do is run from place-to-place delivering papers? Wouldn 't economical compact cars suffice for this
purpose?
