Dear Weld County: Enclosed please find a permit form and map requesting permission to conduct a single,temporary 3D geophysical survey on your mineral interests in Weld County,Colorado.Tesla-Conquest Inc.will be conducting this survey on behalf of Bonanza Creek Energy and will be using the vibroseis method as the energy source for this project.Once the necessary permits have been obtained the field operations will be conducted in the following manner. First,the surveyors will cross on foot or with ATVs to locate and mark the source and receiver points using the GPS survey method.The source points are where"Buggy-mounted"vibroseis trucks will set up, lower a 6 ft. by 4 ft.pad onto the surface,and then"shake"the ground to provide the energy source needed to obtain the seismic data Source points will be marked with an orange stake.The receiver points are where the seismic recording cables and geophones will be laid on the ground and will be marked with a small pink flag. Surveyor work on this land will take about 2-5 days.After the surveyors are finished the recording crew will commence operations and their work will consist of the following.One ton trucks and ATVs will cross and spot the seismic cables and geophones on the ground and crew personnel will cross on foot to deploy this equipment Once enough equipment is deployed and is functioning properly, the data acquisition phase will begin.This phase is when the vibroseis"Buggies"set up and"shake"the ground.The"Buggies"are equipped with wide flotation type tires which minimize any potential impact to the ground. Due to the open terrain on this project,Tesla-Conquest plans to conduct 24 hour operations with the vibroseis crew. After the data acquisition phase is completed,the crew will pick up and remove all equipment,stakes,flags, flagging,and any other materials used in the project from this land leaving it in the same condition as prior to this survey.All work on this project should be finished by no later than December 31 2010 if there are no delays due to inclement weather or equipment malfunctions.
