June 2, 2010
Subject: Cedar Creek II Wind Project
On 2 June a meeting was held in New Raymer, CO to discuss the Emergency Response
and Fire Protection and Prevention Plans for the Cedar Creek II Wind Project. Copies of
both plans were presented to Kyle Lambert for his review and we will provide copies of
the final plans when they are complete. The action items from the meeting are:
- Provide a project map with grid coordinates to New Raymer Fire. We will provide
enough to place in each vehicle as well as 2 large maps to post in the Fire
Department. The maps will have contact information for the points of contact for
the project.
- Provide a hand held radio to New Raymer Fire for coordination with Wind Farm
Project personnel.
- Invite New Raymer Fire to construction kick-off meeting.
- 10 New Raymer Fire personnel are First Responder trained and have 9 EMT or
paramedics and 2 RN's on staff.
- New Raymer is the primary responder, the entire project is in their response area.
- Response time will be approximately 25 minutes.
- New Raymer Fire consists of 1 main station and 2 satellite stations with 1 fire truck
at each satellite station.
- We will need to get the direct phone number to emergency dispatch because we are
not certain where calls to 911 will be routed.
We also discussed the location of the closest Life Flight for the project and were
informed that the nearest locations were Greely, CO and Scott's Bluff, NE. Greely is
also a Trauma 1 hospital.
