As advertised, this bid is to replace the old trash compactor at the Jail.
Northern California Compactors has submitted the low bid. However, this vendor does
present some challenges. They are based out of Pleasanton, CA. Their installation and
maintenance folks in this area are based out of Westminster, Clifton, and Trinidad,
Colorado. Their warranty is for one year.
Gallegos Sanitation is the second low bidder. They are based out of Fort Collins,
Colorado and operate in Greeley. Their maintenance folks are located in the Fort
Collins/Greeley area. Their warranty is also for year and includes a two year
maintenance program.
Due to the criticality of this piece of equipment, prompt maintenance response time is
essential. Buildings and Grounds is recommending the second low bid from Gallegos
Sanitation we awarded.

Could you change the back up for the Trash Compactor that is getting approved on Monday to this page on the
commissioners computers? I just changed Gallegos to 4 weeks on completion. Thanks!
