Dear Sir: - We have your favor of the 18th in answer to our letter regarding cancellation of road right of way #1345 along the north boundary of Sec. 16 , Twp. 1 N. ER. 65 w; You state that there is a regularly laid out county road along this line which extends east and west for a considerable distance and state that after the trouble and expense of establishing a coun- ty road along this line that it should not be can- celled. • In reply will state that no county road has ever been opened along this s.ection_ line ; that the- _ _ _ ___ _ , _ - road does not extend east as no road crossing has ever been provided across the Rock Island railroad at that point; that a road, if it had been opened, would have extended only to the Omaha-Lincoln-Denver Highway. The Beebe canal crosses the WI of the section leaving the section at a point a little over a quarter of a mile east of the northwest corner. The land ly- ing to the west of that intersection is a veritable bog and cannot even be used for grazing purposes as the stock would find it impossible to extricate them- selves after once getting in. There is no road ex- tending to the west of the section on this line for some distance at least . The county has made no effort to properly establish this road. GENTLEMEN:—We, the undersigned, Citizens of your County, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County wagon road to be laid out as follows, to-wit: Commencing at the south line of sections twelve (12) and seven (7) on the range line between ranges sixty five (65) and sixty six (66) township one NORTH extending NORTH ce- on the line be.teen-saationa twelve (12) and seven- (7)-meeting the Ft.
