RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING ZCV #1000023 AGAINST RUSSELL AND PATRICIA COMPTON FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Russell and Patricia Compton, ZCV #1000023, are allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 8th day of June, 2010, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Russell and Patricia Compton were not present or represented at said hearing, and WHEREAS, at the request of Planning staff, the Board deems it advisable to refer the matter back to the Department of Planning Services. My records indicate a Pre-Application Request meeting was conducted on March 11, 2010 at which point staff explained the Use by Special Review (USR) process. In order to avoid the June Violation Hearing, I would recommend the USR application be assembled and 4 packets be submitted to the Department of Planning Services no later than May 18, 2010. Planning Department Staff will review your packets and respond within 7 working days outlining any missing paperwork or necessary corrections. The remaining packets and any other requirements as outlined in Staffs follow up 7 Day Completeness Review memorandum and fees shall be submitted prior to the hearing in order to cancel the Violation Hearing.
