Bids were received and opened on November 15, 2010 for the Recycling of Waste Tires. Two bids were
received for the project in the amounts of$58,820 and $60,600, with the lowest bid submitted by Snowy
River Enterprises, in Longmont, Colorado.
Both facilities are offering the same service, but because Snowy River Enterprises submitted the lowest
bid and is located in Weld County, closer to where this program will be implemented, it is my
recommendation to award the project to Snowy River Enterprises, for a total amount of$58,820.00. This
is on the condition that the Environmental Health Services Division of the Weld County Department of
Public Health & Environment is awarded funding from the Department of Public Health & Environment
Waste Tire Recycling Grant Program. Request for funding (to CDPHE) will be submitted in January,
2011.
