RE: APPROVE, IN PART, PETITION FOR ABATEMENT OR REFUND OF TAXES -

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at
a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 4th day of October, 2010, at which
meeting there were present the following members: Chair Douglas Rademacher, and
Commissioners Sean P. Conway, William F. Garcia, and Barbara Kirkmeyer, with
Commissioner David E. Long being excused, and
WHEREAS, notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to
the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County, with said Assessor, Christopher Woodruff, being
present, and taxpayer William Wilson, not being present, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has carefully considered the attached
petition, and is fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Board concurs with the recommendation of the Assessor and
the petition be and hereby is, approved in part, and an abatement or refund be allowed as
follows:

This taxpayer contacted you in April of 2009 requesting that we re-appraise his
property. He owned two conjoined parcels on County Rd. 1 in Berthoud. You sent
Vermeda out there at that time, and she discovered that these two parcels were
used in conjunction. One parcel (R0113892) had a home on it and was classified
as residential 1112. The other (R0113792) was classified as unplatted 0550.
Vermeda then changed the unplatted parcel to residential for 2009 as it is used in
conjunction with the neighboring parcel per her inspection.
The taxpayer is now requesting that the previously unplatted parcel (R0113792)
be changed to residential 1112 for the 2008 tax year as well. That is the
abatement attached. (No value change, just an assessment rate change.)
(As a side note, these two parcels were then subsequently split into six (6) parcels
for the 2010 tax year.)

This is to advise you that the Weld County Board of Commissioners will hear your petition for
abatement or refund of taxes on the property described as: 24577-B S2NW4 6 3 68 EXC BEG NW
COR OF SEC S1325.82'. The meeting is scheduled for October 4, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., in the First
Floor Meeting Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
