Dear Mr. Ogle:
Consistent with previous requests to modify our operating hours and in accordance with Section
34 of the approved Certificate of Designation Development Standards for the North Weld
Landfill(NWLF),Waste Management Disposal Services of Colorado,Inc. hereby files this minor
change with the Weld County Department of Planning Services. Effective January 1, 2010, the
proposed hours of operation will be as follows:
The general hours of operation for the NWLF are:
Monday through Friday-No earlier than 6:00 a.m.and no later than 6:00 p.m.
Saturday-No earlier than 7:00 a.m.and no later than 3:00 p.m.
Actual operating hours may change on a seasonal basis, but will fall within the above time
limits. The facility will generally be closed on Sundays. The hours of operation for most
major holidays will be from 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon and closed on Christmas Day and
New Year's Day. Facility hours may be extended before, during, and after holidays to
accommodate the modified schedules of the local waste hauling companies. Special hours of
operation outside of these will be limited to our response to special community needs,event
based projects,and emergency situations,such as those associated with weather events.
These new hours of operation have been developed after reviewing the expressed needs of several
commercial haulers and listening to the requests of non-commercial customers,as our community
we serve has grown. With this minor change, we will continue to provide service in an
environmentally sound manner and meet the growing needs of our customers and community.
Notification of these changes, as well as a general update of recent facility enhancements, will be
mailed to all neighbors within 500 feet of the permitted property.
