HomeMy WebLinkAbout790590.tiff RESOLUTION RE: REMOVAL OF RADIOS FROM COUNTY INVENTORY. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado , and WHEREAS, the Weld County Commissioners met on October 10 , 1975 at a Communications meeting which was attended by the County Commissioners , State Patrol, fire departments , town police, and the Sheriff ' s Department to discuss emergency com- munications in Weld County, and WHEREAS, at said meeting, minutes of the meeting indicate that the Weld County Commissioners agreed to provide used mobile radios to fire districts in Weld County for emergency services, and WHEREAS, no official record of a resolution can be found that records this action by the Weld County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance reports that these radios intended to be given to the fire districts still remain on the inventory of fixed assets for the Sheriff, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has indicated to the Board that official action needs to be taken by the Weld County Board of County Commissioners to releive the Sheriff of the accounta- bility of the above radios , and WHEREAS, it appears that proper administrative action was not taken in 1975 to reflect the intent of the Board of County Commissioners at that time. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Weld County Finance Officer is hereby authorized and directed to remove from the inventory of fixed assets for the Sheriff 's Department, the following mobile radios : Item Serial Number No num mobile radio CE7807 No num mobile radio CE7817 7 9059 0 /(7 te,_..1 Item Serial Number No num mobile radio CE7837 No num mobile radio CE7847 No num mobile radio CE7877 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the abovementioned radios are hereby declared surplus property and shall be given to Western Hills Fire Protection District, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that five (5) radios (Serial Numbers CE7827, CE7867, CE7887, CE7897, JE369C) be assigned to the Weld County Sheriff's Office, one (1) radio be kept in storage (Serial Number CE7857) , two (2) radios (Serial Numbers NC719Z , NC720Z) be assigned to the Communications Department, and two (2) radios (Serial Numbers BH5909 , GE798P) be assigned to the Coroner, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Communications Director is hereby directed to contact the rural fire departments to determine if there is a request or need for radios, and upon receipt of said requests, the Communications Director make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for disposi- tion of said radios , and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said radios will be released in the following manner: One radio from storage One radio from Communications One radio from Coroner Five radios from Sheriff 's Office The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of June, A.D. , 1979 .
