RESOLUTION 02-/
RE: VACATION ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING OF A PORTION OF COUNTY
RIGHT OF WAY ALONG 64TH AVENUE.
WHEREAS , a petition was presented at a public hearing on
July 28, 1976 , to the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County,
Colorado, by Kenneth Bateman, representing Ken-Wil Acres
Subdivision, Weld County, Colorado, being in the Southeast
Quarter of Section 16, Township 5 North, Range 66 West of the
l 6th P.M. being more particularly described as follows :
CD Legal Description, Right-of-Way to he Vacated
A parcel of ground located in the Southeast Quarter (SE's) of Section
16, Township 5 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colo-
rado, being more particularly described is follows: Beginning at the
South Quarter Corner (S1/4 Cor) of said Section 16, and considering the
South line of the Southeast Quarter (SEA) of said Section 16 is bearing
North 90°00'00" East, with all other hearings contained herein being
relative thereto; Thence North 90°00'00" East, along the South line of
the South east Quarter (SEA) of said Section 16, 496. 30 feet to the South—
west Corner (SW Cor) of West Ridge Subdivision; Thence North 00°00'00"
East, along the West line of said West Ridge Subdivision, 75.00 feet to
the True Point of Beginning; Thence continuing North 00°00'00" East,
along the West line of said West Ridge Subdivision, 588. 71 feet to the
North line of said West Ridge Subdivision; Thence North 90°00' 00" East,
along the North line of said West Ridge Subdivision, 40. 00 feet; Thence
North 00°00'00" East, 200.00 feet; Thence North 90°00'00" East, 60.00 feet;
Thence South 00°00'00" West, 408. 71 feet to a point on the North Right-
of-Way line of 27th Street; Thence South 90°00'00" West, along the North
Right-of-Way line of said 27th Street, 20.00 feet; Thence South 00°00'00"
West , 60.00 feet to a point on the South Right-of-Way line of said 27th
Street ; Thence North 90°00'00" East, along the South Right-of-Way line of
said 27th Street, 20.00 feet; Thence South 00°00'00" West, 320.00 feet;
Thence South 90°00'00" West, 100.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
WHEREAS , no objections to said petition for the abandonment
and vacation of the aforementioned parcel of land acquired for
road purposes was made at the public hearing held in the
chambers of the Board of County Commissioners on July 28 , 1976 ,
and
WHEREAS, the Board, after investigation of all of the facts
and circumstances of the original acquisition of the aforementioned
parcel of land, and because of subsequent road plan changes, has
determined that public necessity no longer requires this parcel
of land, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners , Weld County,
Colorado', believes it to be in the best interests of the public

•and of Weld County to approve said petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the aforementioned
parcel of land originally acquired for road purposes be, and
is hereby, declared abandoned and vacated in accordance with the
submitted petition.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on this 9th
day of August, A. D. , 1976.
